Acero high schools are committed to both academic preparation and graduate success. We do so through a dynamic high school environment deeply entrenched in fostering a college-going culture.

 

If you are interested in enrolling at one of our high schools please contact your desired high school directly. They will guide you through next-steps regarding enrollment and the transfer process.

Acero Schools participates in GoCPS administered by Chicago Public Schools (CPS). You may learn more about GoCPS by visiting go.cps.edu for additional details regarding the application process.

 

For families who received an activation code but have accidentally misplaced it or if you did not receive an activation code, please contact your school counselor or call the Chicago Public School's Office of Access and Enrollment at (773) 553-2060. It is important that you call from a phone associated with your child's CPS "Student Information File."

How do I apply for my freshman year?

Students apply for high school through the GoCPS process. The details of this process can be found on the GoCPS website. This process is now open.

 

The Round One application deadline has been extended through December 13, 2019.

 

Round two applications are due in April 2020 (an exact date is to be determined by CPS).

How do I apply for my sophomore, junior or senior year?

Families interested in grades 10-12 may apply here.

 

What are the requirements to attend an Acero high school?

Applicants must reside in the City of Chicago. If a student is found to be admitted using a false address, this could result in disenrollment. Otherwise, there are no admission requirements and students are seated through a student selection and lottery process administered by GoCPS.

When will I find out if I was seated at an Acero high school?

Results for GoCPS Round 1 will be announced in March 2020 (exact date to be announced by CPS). 

 

Can I schedule a tour to visit a high school I’m interested in?

Yes, we welcome visitors and encourage you to schedule a tour! You may schedule a tour by emailing schooltours@aceroschools.org or calling the school directly. Acero high schools also offer Shadow Day opportunities. If you are interested in attending, contact the school’s main office.
