Our Fuentes family received the surprise of a lifetime thanks to a generous donation from the Kids in Need Foundation that was shown live on Good Morning America! Every student at Fuentes Elementary received a new backpack, filled with school supplies, and every Fuentes teacher received their own messenger bag. If that wasn’t enough, the Kids in Need Foundation also donated more than $300,000 worth of supplies for Fuentes and other Acero schools -- that’s 133,000 crayons, three tons of paper, 5,000 books, 33,000 pencils, and much, much more. All of this generosity was a result of Fuentes 1st grade teacher Kimber Bermudez sharing her love for her students and her school. She embodies the Acero value of community. Thank you Ms. Bermudez, Good Morning America and the Kids In Need Foundation!
