FIRST STRIDE
As part of Acero's ongoing and enhanced partnership with the Chicago Blackhawks, a select number of elementary schools are participating in a new initiative called First Stride. This puts 4th and 6th graders on the ice for the first time, skating at the new Blackhawks practice facility known as MB Ice Arena. There is also a STEM component whereby students are on tablets learning for part of the morning in a classroom at the rink.
