Acero scholars, colleagues, families and supporters,
I wish to share my congratulations on a successful school year! We experienced a number of challenges and changes, many that were extremely difficult to navigate. However, the resilience I have seen across all members of the Acero community is outstanding.
Although we were faced with uncertainty surrounding the school year, our scholars’ learning went uninterrupted under the skillful leadership and guidance of our educators, school leaders and support colleagues. Scholars who returned to in-person hybrid learning did so with ease due to the hard work of an Acero collective focused on ensuring scholar and colleague safety. Our remote learners continued to receive quality instruction that was comprehensive and inclusive, allowing for individual support from their teachers while they were virtually present for class.
In addition to experiencing a different way of learning this year, our scholars witnessed the world changing before their eyes. They were affected by incidents both across the nation and in their own neighborhoods that sparked essential conversations on equity and much needed change that have catalyzed a new wave of social justice movements. Without fail, our educators and staff once again stepped up to the critical task of listening and helping guide our scholars through these times, reinforcing formative lessons on acceptance and inclusion and how to center equity in all each of us does.
We have accomplished so much this past year even during such difficult times. I am happy to share these accomplishments with you in the video below.
I am incredibly proud of all of our scholars, educators, and colleagues, and I am incredibly thankful for your continued support of our scholars and schools. I hope you have a restful and fun summer and look forward to seeing you back next school year.

Estudiantes, colegas, familias y simpatizantes de Acero,
¡Deseo compartir mis felicitaciones por un año escolar exitoso! Experimentamos una serie de desafíos y cambios, muchos de los cuales fueron extremadamente difíciles de navegar. Sin embargo, la resistencia que he visto en todos los miembros de la comunidad Acero, es sobresaliente.
Aunque nos enfrentamos a la incertidumbre en torno al año escolar, el aprendizaje de nuestros estudiantes no se interrumpió, bajo el hábil liderazgo y la guía de nuestros educadores, líderes escolares y colegas de apoyo. Los estudiantes que regresaron al aprendizaje híbrido presencial, lo hicieron con facilidad, debido al arduo trabajo de un colectivo de Acero, enfocado en garantizar la seguridad de los estudiantes y colegas. Nuestros estudiantes remotos continuaron recibiendo instrucción de calidad, que fue integral e inclusiva, lo que permitió el apoyo individual de sus maestros, mientras estaban virtualmente presentes en clase.
Además de experimentar una forma diferente de aprender este año, nuestros estudiantes presenciaron el cambio del mundo, ante sus ojos. Fueron afectados por incidentes, tanto en todo el país, como en sus propios vecindarios, que provocaron conversaciones esenciales, sobre equidad y cambios muy necesarios que han catalizado una nueva ola de movimientos de justicia social. Sin falta, nuestros educadores y personal una vez más, asumieron la tarea crítica de escuchar y ayudar a guiar a nuestros estudiantes a través de estos tiempos, reforzando las lecciones formativas sobre la aceptación y la inclusión y cómo centrar la equidad en todo lo que hace cada uno de nosotros.
Hemos logrado mucho el año pasado incluso en tiempos tan difíciles. Me complace compartir estos logros con ustedes en el video, a continuación.
Estoy increíblemente orgulloso de todos nuestros estudiantes, educadores y colegas y estoy increíblemente agradecido por su continuo apoyo a nuestros estudiantes y las escuelas. Espero que tengan un verano relajante y divertido y espero verlos de regreso el próximo año escolar.
