Acero Schools

UPDATE: Free Food Resources - Click Here

Although schools are closed, free daily meal service will be available for all Acero and Chicago families in need.

We understand and recognize that our schools provide meals to many Acero students. We will continue making available free breakfast and lunches to any student, regardless of which school they attend.

UPDATE: Due to low response in meal pick-ups we no longer will be offering meal pick ups at Casas Elementary (1641 W. 16th St. Chicago, IL) and Santiago Elementary (2510 W. Cortez. Chicago, IL). Please see the map below for the nearest Acero and CPS locations where you can still obtain meals.

All families will be able to pick up a “Grab & Go Meal Pack” (prepared meals for breakfast & lunch) for each child at one of the following Acero Schools between the hours of 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Beginning Thursday, March 19, three (3) days’ worth of meal packs will be provided for pickup all at once.

Staff will provide the meals outside of the school building near the main entrance. Please note, parents/guardians are not required to be present in order for students to pick up a meal. Families may visit any of the following Acero campuses, regardless of enrollment in an Acero school, to receive meals.

If you are unable to reach an Acero school pickup location, you may visit a nearby CPS school to pick up meals. CPS is also providing free 3-day meal kits to students beginning Tuesday, March 17, between 9 a.m and 1 p.m. daily.

The following Acero and CPS campuses will serve as designated Meal Distribution Centers:
